According to a report in the paper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Sport Witness, Tottenham Hotspur are ‘in the front row’ to sign Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic.
The Lowdown: Spurs in Vlahovic race…
As per reliable claims, Tottenham are indeed very much interested in signing Vlahovic this summer as they search for more additions going forward.
Alasdair Gold backs that Spurs are eyeing a move for the Serbian, meanwhile The Telegraph report he is a priority for managing director Fabio Paratici.
The player himself, as per Fantacalcio, ‘really likes’ Spurs as they search for an out-and-out striking option.
The Latest: Spurs ‘in the front row’ for Vlahovic…
La Gazzetta, bringing news from Italy, state that Tottenham are now fronting the race to sign him this summer with Inter Milan also in the picture if they sell Romelu Lukaku.

However, as explained, La Viola’s president Rocco Commisso will demand big money to consider selling – a fee which could amount to ‘at least’ €60 million (£50.8m).
This may mean that Spurs could have to sell superstar striker Harry Kane to fund a move themselves.
The Verdict: Perfect signing…
Lauded as an ‘incredible’ player by Serie A football expert Conor Clancy (via This is Futbol), Vlahovic’s impressive goal haul of 21 goals and two assists in 37 appearances last season mark him out as a really prolific option (Transfermarkt).
If finances weren’t a clear obstacle, you could be forgiven for thinking he would already be at Spurs, but their sell-to-buy policy this summer indicates Paratici has some work to do before the Lilywhites can afford a realistic bid.
If Vlahovic does turn out to be the replacement for Kane however, Spurs fans would be getting themselves a player who is young, physical, proven in a top league and certainly knows where the back of the net is.
