Avram Grant has admitted that even an FA Cup Final victory would struggle to eclipse the pleasure brought by Portsmouth's semi-final success over Tottenham.
Pompey booked their place in the Wembley showpiece against Chelsea on Saturday following a 2-0 last-four victory over Spurs last month.
The ailing south coast club were expected to put up a gallant fight but ultimately lost to a side riding high at the top of the Premier League table.
Afterwards the players and Grant celebrated wildly and the Israeli coach has admitted a final victory is unlikely to match those jubilant scenes.
"I think the story is the semi-final. I remember all the fans celebrated for an hour after the game in the stadium and the players were also so happy," he said.
"I don't think even if we win the final we will be happy like we were in the semi-final, it was a great, great achievement.
"When it comes to the final, to tell you the truth, to be honest, I don't care. Obviously I am very pleased to be in the final, as long as there is a chance there is a chance.
"If we win the final I will be very, very happy, but I don't think more happy than when we beat Spurs."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
