It took Premier League side Tottenham until extra time to breach National League opponents Tamworth, a team that had failed to keep a clean sheet in their last eight games in all competitions before the FA Cup clash in Staffordshire. Much of their solid defending was done by Hollis, a 32-year-old with previous experience at Notts County and Forest Green. He even put on a show for the 5,000 people in the stadium by pulling out a sensational spin past Sarr and Werner, players who likely earn more in a week than Hollis does across an entire calendar year.

Those who did not watch the game may assume that Tamworth gave Tottenham's reserves a good game, but Ange Postecoglou selected a very strong starting XI. The likes of James Maddison, Pedro Porro and Brennan Johnson all started, although Timo Werner was deployed as a striker and received some scathing reviews online for his performance.
