Bellingham was substituted during the second half of Madrid's clash with Girona, having opened the scoring in the first half. The England international has been in exceptional form and has scored in five successive matches, but asked to be substituted after seemingly sustaining a muscle injury.

Bellingham was subbed just after the hour mark, with his team 2-0 up after Arda Guler extended their lead thanks to an assist from the Englishman. It may be that coach Carlo Ancelotti simply decided against risking one of his key players, although it is unclear if he will miss any fixtures; Real play Atalanta in the Champions League in midweek.
