Marcus Rashford got Amorim's United tenure off to a rapid start as he gave the visitors the lead just 80 seconds into the contest at Portman Road on Sunday. Some Red Devils supporters noticed the 39-year-old "didn't even celebrate" at the opener – something the understated Ancelotti frequently does. The Portuguese also became the second manager in Premier League history to see his team score inside the opening two minutes in his first match at the helm, alongside David Moyes with Everton in 2002.

@UTDTrey wrote on X: "Amorim didn’t even celebrate that goal at all, we have our own Ancelotti bro😭."
@AmorimBalll_ posted a photo with Amad Diallo and Lionel Messi and tweeted: "I don’t make the rules unfortunately."
@LiamPaulCanning commented: "I must say, I’m loving the Amorim era so far."
And @UTD_Pat_ put: "Amorim is the new Ancelotti at Old Trafford. This was his reaction to Rashford’s goal."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Amorim took over at United earlier this month following the sacking of Erik ten Hag in October. His new team are languishing down in the bottom half of the Premier League and desperately need some positive results to kick-charge their season. And a win at Ipswich would be the ideal start.
