Vitor Pereira has officially ruled himself out of the running to become Everton’s new manager.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, the Shanghai SIPG coach has revealed that he will not be joining the Toffees despite a host of speculation.
According to BBC Sport, Pereira was a leading target for the Toffees, who currently have Duncan Ferguson in charge of first-team affairs following Marco Silva’s departure.

However, a number of the Everton fans do not seem to be too bothered that the Portuguese will not be arriving at the club.

BBC Sport journalist Phil McNulty later claimed that Pereira’s withdrawal could see David Moyes come back into the reckoning, although that news was not received well by a number of the fanbase.
It will certainly be fascinating to see what develops over the coming days.
Three straight defeats to Norwich City, Leicester City and Liverpool saw Silva lose his job, but Ferguson led the team to a 3-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
It is not as if it gets easier for the Merseyside giants, though, as their next game is away to Manchester United on Sunday afternoon. They will then take on Leicester City in the EFL Cup on December 18 before hosting Arsenal in the league on December 21.
Meanwhile, a number of Everton fans have been lavishing praise on one player who has enjoyed plenty of football in recent weeks.
