According toa report by Football.London, West Ham United could be ready to loan January signing Jordan Hugill out this summer if they avoid relegation to the Championship, and Irons fans have been quick to have their say on the story.
The Sun on Sunday reported on April 15 that the Hammers were ready to loan out or sell the £9m striker at the end of the season just months after bringing him to the London Stadium, but Football.London says that only a temporary exit will be considered – if the club secures their Premier League status.
They went a step closer to achieving that by moving seven points clear of the bottom three following their 1-1 draw against Stoke City in the capital on Monday night, with Hugill, who was mocked by his own fans on Twitter last month, once again an unused substitute having only played 22 minutes of top flight football since his January move.
West Ham supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the rumour, and while one described it as “shocking”, another simply said “what a waste”.
