McElhenney has, since completing a stunning takeover at Wrexham alongside Ryan Reynolds, grown accustomed to having his nerves shredded when watching teams that he boasts emotional and financial ties to.
WHAT ROB MCELHENNEY SAID
He was able to relax for much of the Super Bowl extravaganza in Louisiana, as the Eagles raced into a 24-point half-time lead and went on to prevail 40-22. McElhenney posted during the game: “Dangerous tweet. This is top 5 greatest days of my life. 8pm on a Sunday.” He went on to say: “Not so dangerous anymore. Top 5 best nights of my life.”
WHAT NEXT FOR WREXHAM?
Wrexham will be hoping to give McElhenney more cause for celebration over the coming weeks. They are looking to make history by becoming the first EFL side to secure three successive promotions, with Phil Parkinson’s side currently sat third in the League One table.
